Selects suffer second straight loss, 9-5 to Smoke

For the first time this season, the Selects suffered back-to-back losses, falling 9-5 to their familiar foes, the Smoke. Kevin Pomfret notched 10 strikeouts in five innings of work for the Smoke, allowing three runs on five hits to get the win. The Selects offense was led by two-hit nights from Steve Gillis, Mike Welton, and Zack Anstett, with Gillis and Brad Cleasby each scoring two runs in the loss.

The Selects drop to 6-5 with the loss and look to rebound Thursday night at 7 against the Bulldogs.
