Selects vs. Diamond Jaxx

Playing with only eight guys Monday night, the Selects were shorthanded and in tough against the first-place Diamond Jaxx.
Though knocking on the door to start the game - with Kevin Ryrie and Brad Cleasby both reaching base in their first two at bats - the Selects couldn't come through with timely hitting, stranding them both times at second and third.
Despite their offensive struggles, the Selects kept the game close, taking a 3-0 game into the sixth inning. Unfortunately, that's when the wheels fell off, as the Jaxx collected four hits in the sixth leading to three more runs and the 6-0 win.
The Selects look to right the ship on Wednesday as they take on the Barons at 9:00.
