Wednesday, May 20, 2015
The Selects offense put up 12 runs over the final three frames Wednesday night, posting a 14-4 win over the Red Sox to push their KFL undefeated streak to five games. Scott Clark picked up his second win in as many starts, allowing four runs on five hits with five strikeouts over six innings.
The Red Sox plated three runs in the top of the fourth to take a 4-2 lead, but the Selects answered with four in the home half of the inning, keyed by a monstrous blast to right-centre by Brett Pfeifer. They never looked back. The Selects' 16-hit barrage was led by Darren Strickland (3-4, HR, 4 RBI, 4 runs), Pfeifer (2-3, HR, BB, RBI, 4 runs), Mike Brown (3-4, 2 2B, 2 RBI), Clark (3-4, run), Shayne Riepert (2-4, 4 RBI, 2 runs), and Aaron McCaw (2-4, 2B, 2 RBI, run).
