Selects vs. Predators

Wednesday, June 24, 2015

The Selects ended a four-game losing streak and improved to 8-4 Wednesday night with a 9-1 win over the Predators, thanks to strong pitching and a steady offensive attack.

Chad Fink kept the Predators hitters off balance all night, allowing one unearned run on five hits over seven innings, while striking out seven. Meanwhile, the Selects had multi-run innings in the third, fifth, and sixth en route to the lopsided win, with Brett Pfeifer's three-run blast to straightaway centre providing the decisive blow.

Fink (1-2, 2 BB, 3 runs), Pfeifer (2-3, BB, 2B, HR, 3 RBI, 3 runs), Mike Brown (1-3, BB, 2 SB, RBI, 2 runs), and Scott Clark (1-3, BB, SB, 2 RBI) did most of the damage for the Selects, while Steven Riepert picked up his first-ever KFL RBI.
