The Selects put up four runs apiece in each of the first two frames Thursday night, riding the early offensive outburst to an eventual 10-3 win over the 37s.
Shayne Riepert picked up his fifth complete game and eighth win of the season, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits, while striking out 11 over seven innings of work. He also delivered a two-run triple in the first and a sacrifice fly in the second to a post a three-RBI night.
Riepert received plenty of additional offensive support, including multi-hit games from Kevin Ryrie (2-3, BB, 3 runs), Tim Coverdale (2-3, BB, 2 RBIs, run), and Mike Brown (2-4, 2 RBIs, run). With the win, the Selects improve to 14-7 on the year.
