Selects vs. 37s

The Selects dropped an ugly one to the defending champion 37s on Thursday night, losing 10-2.
The 37s put up a pair of runs in each of the first two frames to jump out to a 4-0 lead before Darren Strickland blasted his second home run of the season to make it 4-1. The 37s promptly responded with a four-run fourth to make it 8-1 and coasted to the comfortable 10-2 win.
Aside from Strickland's blast, the Selects' only hits came from Kevin Ryrie (2-2, BB, run), Mike Brown (2-2, BB), and Brad Cleasby (2-3). Scott Clark struggled to find the strike zone, picking up his first loss of the season, while Brett Pfeifer saw some rare relief work and allowed just two runs (one earned) on two hits, while striking out two in two innings of work.
