Selects vs. Bell Cartage

For the second straight game, Selects' stalwart pitcher Doug Hoffman carried a one-hitter through the fifth inning where a poorly timed knuckleball resulted in a double and landed him on the bench. Roddy Fevreau came in to close it out striking out three on route to a 9-1 victory over Bell Cartage.
Mike Brown and Jamie Hickling led the way for the Selects. Brown went 2-4 in the game with two RBI and three runs scored while Hickling displayed his patience at the plate collecting four walks and scoring twice.
Hoffman helped his own cause at the plate going 2-2 with two walks and a run scored while a collective group accounted for the remaining three runs.
Big week upcoming for the Selects as they meet division foes in the Moonshiners (Tuesday, 7:00 PM) and the Paris Predators (Thursday, 9:00 PM).
