Selects vs. Barons

After a tough to swallow loss on Tuesday, the Selects took on the Barons on a toasty Thursday evening at Budd park.
With Doug Hoffman taking the mound, the Selects bats came alive from the get go, delivering a 15 hit, 11 run performance. Meanwhile, Hoffman silenced the Barons bats with a 1 hit, 1 walk shutout.
Defensively the Selects were flawless through all six innings including a diving catch in left field by David Ryrie in the bottom of the third.
The Selects looked stellar at the dish with Kevin Ryrie having a 4 for 4 outing and with Brad Cleasby, Glen Hall, Jamie Ridley and Hoffman adding 2 hits each. However, the night was all Hoffman, who added 4 RBIs to go along with his dominating 11 strikeouts.
