Though Doug Hoffman and the Selects' defence was able to hold the Classics to just three runs in game one of the KFL finals, the Selects offense fell off as they managed just three hits in the 3-0 loss.
Mike Brown, Jamie Hickling and Dan Fogal accounted for the Selects only three hits in the game. Hoffman spun seven strong innings allowing just the three runs and striking out ten.
