Looking to ride their momentum through the Reds and into the playoffs the Selects were looking for a victory to not only end the regular season on a high note but also to lock up second place overall. Unfortunately the bats fell silent and the Selects couldn't muster up any kind of offense against left handed hurler Kevin Buckley.
Glen Hall singled twice in the game for the Selects accounting for nearly half of the Selects total hits.
Dan Fogal and Zack Anstett successfully reached on pinch hit singles in the sixth inning - Fogal scoring on Zack's drive through the left side - as the Selects attempted to make a push. Unfortunately the inning would end shortly after that and the Selects would fall 6-1.
