Selects vs. Black Sox

It was a meeting of two the first place teams as the Selects met the Black Sox for their only meeting of the regular season. Unfortunately for the Selects, it didn't quite go to plan.
Though they managed six hits over six innings against Black Sox hurler Marc Geddes the Selects would capitalize just twice with runners on base, leading to the 4-2 loss.
Brent Furtney and Doug Hoffman highlighted the stat sheet for the Selects. Furtney went one for 2 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI single while Hoffman, who cashed the Selects only other run, threw six innings of six-hit ball while striking out nine.
